Joe Burke began his professional lighting career in the mid 90's as a lighting technician in the film and TV industry, completing an apprenticeship at the world famous Pinewood Studios.
"I became a freelancer in 1998 and started working for numerous broadcasting companies, including the BBC, ITV & Disney and on a number of Hollywood film productions". During the subsequent 10 years he expanded his lighting design work out into other areas including event and corporate lighting, while at the same time progressing from a technician into a Chief Lighting and Electrical Designer.
Following these successful years, he decided to venture into residential and commercial work. "My aim was to bring my knowledge and experience to the two areas which I felt could benefit greatly from well designed lighting". Although now well established, the business has been deliberately kept small in order to maintain a personal service where quality and attention to detail are paramount.
In 2010 following the birth of their first child, Joe Burke and his wife relocated from London to Lymington in the New Forest, to enjoy life by the sea with their new family.
